Salary: $116,830.74 - $124,284.54 per annum,

Generous salary packaging: $15,899.94p/a

Professional development incentive: Allowance of $1,500p/a

About the Role...

This is a responsible position requiring strict confidentiality, initiative and innovation while supporting Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation’s (Anyinginyi) mission: to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

This position necessitates strong relationships with clients, effective collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of colleagues within the Health Services Section as well as other service providers, and a holistic philosophy to overall good health and wellbeing.  More specifically, the responsibilities of this position will assist Anyinginyi Health to work toward improving Aboriginal health in Tennant Creek, including surrounding communities.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Provide sexual health and family planning counselling as appropriate.
  • Provide advice to clients on diet, smoking, alcohol, other drugs and other lifestyle issues which relate to health and wellbeing.
  • Provide capacity building education and information sessions to community.
  • Apply strict confidentiality practices and guidelines to all patient, client, personal and
    commercially sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff the management of the point of care testing program.

  • Salary packaging up to $15,899.94 pa.

  • Annual remote travel allowance of $1500 for personal travel after 1 year of service
  • Annual local Bi- Lingual allowance of up to $1500
  • Employee access to Anyinginyi Health Clinic – with free Prescriptions
  • Free General Dentistry (Lab Work to be paid by employee)

 

About You...

  • Registered to practice as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner (minimum Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice) and have current AHPRA registration
  • Evidenced understanding of the Primary Health Care system
  • Ability to communicate sensitively and culturally appropriate 
  • Certification to vaccinate in the NT or ability to achieve this
  • Respect for and responsiveness to Aboriginal culture and protocols
  • Experience facilitating clinical education
  • Current Driver's licence
  • OCHRE Card (Working with Children) or the ability to apply
  • Be fully Covid-19 vaccinated
