We are an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to achieving health equity for Aboriginal people in the Barkly region. To achieve our goal, we employ over 100 people across a diverse range of roles in each of our key sections of Health Services, Public Health, Stronger Families and Corporate Services.
About the Role:
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be required to provide high quality health care services to the population of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly communities.
You will play an important role in delivering team goals to manage illness, promote well-being, maintain health systems, provide education and encourage community health action.
Participate in all areas of primary health care service delivery
Undertake a wide range of nursing duties
Participate in multidisciplinary decision-making pertaining to client care
Completion of health checks, care plans and team care arrangements
Facilitate telehealth to promote continuity of care
Deliver Health education and promotion
Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration
Able to abide by CARPA Standard Treatment Manual
Demonstrated knowledge, interpersonal skills and ability to sensitively communicate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, values and beliefs
Ability to communicate sensitively and culturally appropriate
Current certification to administrate vaccines in the NT (or able to obtain)
Experience, skills and knowledge in multidisciplinary teamwork and conflict management
High level of communication, negotiation and consultation skills
Knowledge and experience monitoring health and safety standards
Current NT drivers' licence
