Location: Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly Region Job Title: Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) Team Support Officer (Male) Classification: Public Health Salary: $72,745.05 - $75,806.90 per annum Generous salary packaging: $15,899.94p/a Professional development incentive: Allowance of $1,500p/a Employment conditions: Full Time Reports to: Public Health Executive Manager Amazing further benefits including 6 weeks annual leave, free general dentistry and Remote Retention Allowance of $750!

Commence an exciting opportunity where you will be joining our Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) Team to contribute to closing the gap in Indigenous health outcomes by reducing tobacco smoking as the most significant risk factor for chronic disease among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples within our Barkly Region. About the Role As part of a small team and through community consultation, you will help develop and promote supportive resources and activities that are aimed at reducing the rates of smoking in Aboriginal communities and promoting smoke-free spaces, specifically in the Barkly Region. You will take responsive, flexible, and preventative health approaches to enhance community understanding of the effects of tobacco on overall and long-term health outcomes.
